Orientation and first ACE day 2026-2027
FAQ
How will students stay engaged and safe while parents complete orientation tasks?
We will have two full center teams on-site! For example, on Atascadero’s first day, the Arroyo Grande team will run crafts and the “Party Like It’s 1776” event while the Atascadero team guides parents through orientation.
Will parents have enough time to complete orientation tasks?
Yes! While the student schedule includes two “main” activity sessions, parents are welcome to drop in, pick up items, and complete tasks throughout the day. It is not a rigid schedule for parents, though we ask for a little extra patience during student group transitions.
What should online-only families do?
Please join us! Online students are invited to participate in the crafts, event, and popsicle social while parents work through orientation tasks.
What if our family cannot attend?
We strongly encourage every family to attend if possible, as meeting your teachers and signing Master Agreements are crucial first steps. However, if you cannot make it, please contact your Learning Center Coordinator directly to arrange an alternate time to pick up curriculum and tech. (Note: Our attendance/absentee policy will not begin on Monday August 10, 2026)
We know that schedule changes require adjustments, but this updated format offers more time flexibility for busy schedules, gives new parents the option to observe our classrooms in action, and creates more space to connect with staff and fellow families.
We hope this information brings clarity to your week. Thank you for your continued partnership and support!
